Over 90% of medical products in Africa are imported from South East Asia - creating a heavy reliance imports and a significant supply chain risk. As the pandemic has shown, there is a real need to develop a strong local manufacturing base that will allow patients across Africa to access affordable and high-quality products when they really need them.

Ranger Labs is actively helping spur the local manufacturing space by advising companies looking to expand into the East African region for distribution and local manufacturing.

As part of a joint venture with a leading manufacturer from South East Asia, Ranger Labs is looking to build a medical consumables factory in Kenya which would serve the entire Sub-Saharan African region.
